Main Clubhouse


Community Island


The large clubhouse is the main centre of activity on the island.  The clubhouse houses the Multi-Purpose Room, the SAC (Social Activities Committee) Office, Library, Card Room, Billiards and Ping Pong Room, Craft room, and Art Room.  The Fireside Room is a place of calm and comfort with access to free Wi-Fi service.  
The Multi-Purpose Room is the resort event center with a capacity to accommodate 340 for dining and up to 645 for Dances.  It has a newly remodelled industrial kitchen for food preparation.  It is used for a variety of activities including scheduled dinners and dances or entertainment, special television events, music jam sessions on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m., movies on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. with an ice-cream social held just before the movie, Donuts or pancake breakfasts on Saturday mornings starting at 7:30 a.m. followed by announcements from the SAC Chair 
outlining events for the coming week, and Interdenominational church services at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays.  Men’s and women’s exercises are also regularly held in the MPR in the mornings.  An annual Arts and Crafts show is held here as well.  The performance stage is equipped with a grand piano, 
drums, show lighting, state of the art sound system and a large screen for TV or customized viewing. 
The Library houses a good collection of books and magazines and the book club meets there on the first and third Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. during the season.  
The Card Room is the gathering place for those interested in Shanghai Rummy, Cribbage, Mahjong, Bunco, Bridge 500, Hand & Foot, and Pinochle. Scheduling for times is available on the bulletin board in the hallway.  
The Billiards Room is available for both open and scheduled play with four pool tables and two ping pong tables.  
The craft room accommodates an active quilter’s and sewing group, as well as beading lessons and rock painting once a week.  
The art room has recently expanded its space to accommodate a growing number of artists.  Lessons in drawing, water colours and other media are available to those wishing to pursue a new hobby.
